Billboard ads are so amazing. You have a lot of freedom to think outside the box when designing a billboard and if you have the money, you can do some amazing, eye-catching ads. I found this Adidas billboard on youtube. It caught a lot of attention from the internet and the media for its creativity. It's called vertical soccer- two men are tied to bungy cords with a soccer ball and they play across the billboard. it's like billboards to the extreme. Really cool. Check it out.
Look up it on youtube.com under the name:
Vertical Soccer
Addidas Vertical soccer in Japan on a billboard

I agree with Gloria, the Geico gecko had made its run. To me, Geico has done a great job of mixing up their advertising strategies, with the cavemen and now these type of ads. I especially like how they poke fun at the MTV - VH1 behind the music shows in this ad.

Compared to what is on TV nowadays, I don't think these ads are that disgusting. I don't think the water cooler ad is that good (it's kind of a stretch), but as ridiculous as the nipple ad is, I think it is hilarious. Neither ad is really offensive, there just ridiculous and have absolutely nothing to do with gum.

I definitely agree with you about both of these ads. The concept of the first ad would be much better if it was executed much differently. Like for instance if Dave keeping his eyes on his wife was a struggle he was having personally, it would be much more funny. Instead, the ad assumes that we're all male chauvinists who only see women as objects.

The second ad is completely tasteless. It totally plays to the some guys drugged up a girl and now they're going to run a train on her. Honestly, I think this might be the most offensive print ad I've ever seen.

I like the fact because it really caught my attention but I don’t see how the ad relates to mountain dew. What does Mountain Dew have to do with lightning and women? I will remember the fact but I don’t think I’ll associate it with the drink, and even if I did, I wouldn’t drink that soda.

I think that this campaign is great. It seems like supermarkets and retailers in general (except Target) rely on very basic and usually boring advertising. These ads really stand out from the rest. It is also refreshing to see them competing on something other than price. They are able to recognize that they can't compete with giants like Walmart on the pricing of products but they can provide superior service and overall a better shopping atmosphere.

I thought this ad was funny. I like Old Spice's ads way better Axe's or Tag's. Axe and Tag are a bit too racy and provocative to me, then again I'm not their target audience, but I probably wont' buy those brands for my boyfriend. With Old Spice though on the other hand I would consider buying it for him. It was a funny commercial that didn't go overboard on the sex. It was just funny and little silly. If i were at the store I would remember this ad and the fact that "its right for everyone!" and probably giggle a little bit as I buy it.

I really enjoyed this ad too. Im not a Justin Timberlake fan per say but I enjoy his music. But, I have to say that I thought this ad was really entertaining. Maybe it was because Justin was being kind of a jerk in the beginning of the ad when he didnt laugh at his friend sticking chopsticks up his nose. I think that kind of set the viewer up to let themselves enjoy the rest of the ad where he gets beat up. The ad was intriguing and kept me watching to see what happened next. All the things that happened in the ad also had a purpose at the end. Either way, I think Justin Timberlake was a good sport to do this ad because its hilarious!

I still enjoy this ad, too. I agree that even if everyone doesn't like Justin Timberlake, most people could enjoy watching that mailbox hurt his chances of ever bearing children. There aren't very many commercials featuring celebrities that appeal to both fans and non-fans, and I think that makes this commercial unique.
