Outside the Box

 I found this ad while perusing YouTube and really liked it for a couple reasons. First, it exhibits a clever use of personification. I truly enjoy watching ads that think outside the box this way. Yet more than that, I appreciate ads that are not completely predictable or overdone. Throughout the entire commercial I was unable to figure out exactly what the ad was for.

  1. I really love the subtleties in this ad. Specifically the windmill and the picture of him with the mill in all the “office confession” shots. So they’re hinting at it the whole time, but you still don’t immediately get it. It gives the ad a certain re-watchability. Sure, it probably only adds one more watch worth of interest, but it’s still pretty cool.
