Identity theft

From Kimberly Federics:
I especially love this ad campaign. Although, it is no longer on television anymore I found them to be entertaining. All of the Citi Identity Theft Solution ads are hilarious, and capture the audience’s attention. Each commercial uses two strategies affective, and generic. The strategy affective uses both ambiguity and humor. In this specific commercial describing the characters “out of character” uses it. This makes the serious issue of identity fraud to be humorous, and engages the audience. Citi Bank also uses generic claims that any identity theft protection company could make. They state in each ad that they provide a costumer representative to speak to. In some of their other ads they mention early spending detection.
