Every Sip Gets You Closer

I really enjoyed this ad for Pepsi Stuff, which ran during the Super Bowl this year. The idea that every time you take a sip of Pepsi you get one step closer to Justin Timberlake and his music is very creative. Also the way that he was thrown around the city running into things and other celebrities is funny and unconventional. The ad uses brand image and affective strategies to draw in consumers. By using a celebrity to promote the brand, he is then tied to the brand. In this case when you drink Pepsi Justin will come tumbling into your backyard. The Affective strategy creates humor and attraction for the consumer. If we think the ad is funny we in tern have positive feelings toward the brand.
